That's okay if you don't have a mic, you can still help out with the script! biggrin

The setting: We see only a world of light. The earth and sky is blank and bleached white. If there's a pebble sticking out, there will be teeny shadow. It's going to be a test in a different artstyle for me.

The scene: A scout has been sent out. He's come across the residence of scientist in reclusion. The scientist refuses to show himself other than his eyes peeping from the door. Those eyes are nothing but gigantic white circles. He's not completely human.

Anybody need pictures in order to get a better feel of what voice to use?

That's the Doc. He sounds cranky because he's supposed to be in reclusion. You know, not have anybody knocking on his door or something, which the robot does anyway.

Is he human? That 'if' factors in how I want him to sound.

This certainly changes the script and its mental imagery.

SCRIPT SO FAR

(Introduce with the narrator telling how the sun engulfed the sky and everything on the earth is either sun-bleached or burnt crisp) (cut to the robot scout knocking on a door. The door opens but we only two white circles for eyes.)

Robot scout: Hello, I'd like to ask you some questions--Wait!! (the white-eyed thing stops the door from slamming shut) ....I'll make it worth your time....

Thing/Doc: ...What is it?

(blargh, that's the only dialouge I got up to this point. I'll try to make a small movie that shows the earth at sunrise, it's gonna be pretty freaky, because that's what this whole movie is going to be. Anybody remember Space Oddysea 2001?)

Oh and here's a funny movie that shows the art style I'm inspired by. The game was released for the super nintendo, and it probably the first with load time.

Whoops, sorry about the maturity of that video, but it does show off Eric Chahi's amazing game, Out of This World. I'll try not to post stuff with THAT many cursewords, my bad. ashamed

Anywho...

That scene you did was something I had never thought of, BUT LIEK OMGBBQSAUCE IT WAS LIEK AWESUM!!!!!1!!!one! biggrin

Scientist : *small laugh* Friend? I don't have any....Now if you'll excuse me....

Scout Robot : (interupting him) He said he's be willing to give you a second chance.

Scientist : (confused) .......................

Robot : A second chance at completing project Atlosphere.( you can come up with a better name once you know whats its about)

Scientist:......Him??? ( laughs out loud) Tell him....Tell him...He's wasting his time...All the means to completing that thing has been long gone. There is nothing we can do about it.(looks away)

Robot : That is not in his belief sir....He told me to give you this....(reaches in his pockets and takes out a data disk and hands it over)

Scientist : (stares at it with one eye and snatches it) Ok then...Now get lost!!! Slams the door at its face....

Alrighty, here's more voice bits of me doing some lines, now with 50% less enthused voice acting. Sorry there, I forgot how to my 'voice' and was trying to get back into it midway though lines. If you couldn't tell that, than thank Audacity and audio editation!

uno I could do better with this admittedly

dos Meh.

tres Low-volume but I finally got the voice back. Oh and I replaced a small bit for the end just for characterization.

The Atlosphere.... You know I was thinking about just going with the degraded-atmosphere-idea, but maybe, the Atlosphere is the temporary ozone that was placed up as the real one degraded into space? idea

Gosh, I'mma brainstorming over here!!!

Its mainly about this guy creating an artificial atmosphere...He failed once. Now the materials needed to work on that again have been lost in this scientist mind. But what does his friend have to say about? I"ll let you decide.

Well here's a demo for the movie. Not a trailer, mind you, since a trailer would be done when almost everything is finished (if not done completely).

While the talking blob of stuff isn't really saying anything of importance, I just put it in to bring a smile on my dad's face. The last five seconds shows my view of sunset in good, ole', post-apocalyptic Earth.

Fun Fact: The blob is actually a cosmo that has decided to talk. You'd think a celestrial being, that has existed for eons, would have more comprensible things to talk about, but noooooooooo.... Also it's name is Kassandra, apparently. It seems to have a bitten toungue and speaks some words weirdly.

Dang it, youtube, why must you cut off a second from my video? A lot of emotion-jarring eerieness happened in the last second!
