Yesterday i've completed megaman x6 on my PSP ( aka EBOOT.php ) so i've watched both X and Zero's ending .. i'm kinda of suprised with zero's ending its like a possible spoiler .. my thoughts about the megaman x6 was really suprising ..
This what i think it might let to ..
Megaman x4 Megaman x5 Megaman x6
Zero fell alseep as we all know in a unknown lab .. so 70% confirmations saying that x6 was the ending series ..
40% maybe saying that .. during Zero was asleep in the lab .. i think Dr.weil created a copy version of zero and put the REAL zero into the copyed body ..
When that person said he would wake up with no problems on the August 15 106-7 years .. i think
So during the in-between years .. X was maybe busy fighting the elf wars .. zero WAS still asleep .. so maybe a few years from now on Ciel found Zero sleeping in the Lab ( aka possible link towards x6 )
I seriously don't know whats up with x7 and x8 .. i mean .. what the hell happened to Zero's buster? It can't just disappear suddenly ..
So maybe x7 and x8 took place BEFORE .. x4 .. so thats what i've think ..

This is the way that I've always thought of it, and I'm certain that I'm not the only who's thought of this but they've never spoken up in forums like this.
I've always that the two endings of X6 were splits in the continuity that you could choose to go with. The ending with Zero getting sealed up was the branch that lead up to the MegaMan Zero story, while MegaMan X7 picked up where the ending with X and Zero present left off.
O.k form what I've heard the Zero ending in X6 is a story line that doesn't stay with the storyline of MMX and all. It's one of those possible endings!!!! It does have the whole Zero twist to it because X6 WAS supposed to be the end of the X series. But so many people liked the X series that Capcom decided to coutinue on with it. So the storyline to Mega Man Zero is through X7 and X8. That's why in ZX you have Model A.(Axl) O.k. keeping up with me?
In that Mega Man Zero book that I talked about in the other thread, It said that Zero was put to sleep but he was awoken again to help fight in the Elf Wars. This might make sense as to why Zero have a new body in MMZ, and why he knows the Dark Elf. Somehow he is dammaged or something and goes back to sleep. His memory is transfered to another copy of himself, so that's why your a copy in MMZ. X put away the Dark Elf, and Ceil builds Copy X. Weil is banished into space and you more or less have the start of the MMZ series.
